It was a sold out show with standing room only! A true showcase of talent, dedication and passion for the art of dance. There were several aspects of the evening that stood out to the audience.
Pat and Andy’s rumba was truly touching and sweet! The dance made all the sweeter because this is the first time that Andy has performed since his stroke 2 years ago. What a comeback for this couple!
During the pro show the audience was favored with performances from Shawn and Jill with their creative Hip-Hop/W. Coast Swing, from Marcin and Asuka from “So You Think You Can Dance” and from Marcus and Yuki who are currently ranked in the top 10 for Latin Dancing in the World.
This was the biggest showcase that Dance For 2 has ever put on with 17 student performances and 6 proshows! With routines depicting nerds becoming saucy cha-cha dancers and an elegant waltz that brought tears to the eyes of more than one audience member. The energy was so high that no one wanted to leave at the end of the night, preferring to talk, enjoy and relive the evening! According to Shawn, “It is going to be tough to top this showcase next year!”
